Excellent Freeware Screen Capture Software
If you’re interested in a nice freeware screen capture software application for Windows, check out Gadwin Systems, Inc PrintScreen. It supports all of the common things you’d want from a fast and efficient screen capture application:
- Hotkey selection
- Selection of entire screen, application and a specific rectangle (with a zoom window!)
- Many different file formats
- Automatic file naming
- Optional previewing
- Much more!

I grabbed the screen above using the rectangular PrintScreen selection feature, saved it as a PNG, and then used BlogJet to resize it. PrintScreen will automatically resize an image though if that is what you want:

Not that it probably matters, but the application deactivates its features when the settings dialog is shown. (I had to resort to old school screen capture to provide the previous image).
Download it here.

Blogjet is a nice app. You should also check out RocketPost:

It's the most powerful blog editor out at the moment, but I designed it, so take that with a grain of salt ;)

Manish -- you may have a good product, but it costs so much I won't even try the demo. Blogjet is $39.

True, it's a full-blown productivity app, not a utility like BlogJet. If you spent significant time blogging, give it a whirl.

Thanks, but no. Maybe offer a reduced version for mere-mortals? Something for the semi-frequent blog poster? Would have to be less than $50 to even make me stop and think about it.

Interesting idea... let me noodle on it.

I wait for your noodling ... :)
I haven't purchased BlogJet yet ... still in trial mode, so I can still consider other options if they become reasonably priced....
